Tea and Jeopardy 08 – A Chat With Frances Hardinge

By Emma on July 19, 2013

day5The eighth episode of Tea and Jeopardy is now live and you can find it here.

In this episode, the frighteningly talented author Frances Hardinge is invited into my tea lair and I reveal my favourite answer to last week’s dilemma. We talk about childhood heroes, the perfect hat and meeting Bagpuss…

If you love Tea and Jeopardy and want to join the Order of the Sacred Tea Cup, our Patreon page is here.

There’s a question at the end, feel free to leave your answer below but I’m afraid the winner has already been picked. You can find out who it was in episode 9.

Oh, and here’s a little blooper reel for this episode, which is mostly me losing the plot. WARNING: There is swearing.

Credits for sound effects can be found here.

I always settle down to your podcasts with a smile (and cup of tea of course). With regard to the undead friendly pudding, how about a lovely tray of sugared ladies fingers.

  2. Altitude. I’ve had problems with altitude before, although the views are spectacular!

I found the fact that you were interviewing in the secret tea lair someone who, in a LARP, had bundled you off to a secret location was a lovely meta bit.

    Latimer knows everything, doesn’t he?

Dessert for the Undead? Oh, I have it on good authority that sugar candy skulls from the Mexican festival Dia de Los Muertos are the favored treat of undead on this side of the Atlantic, anyway. Perhaps they would suit your guest and avoid the faux pas of an unsuitable dessert?
