Tea and Jeopardy 03 – A chat with Paul Cornell

By Emma on May 24, 2013

day5The third episode of Tea and Jeopardy is now live and you can find it here.

This week the deeply lovely novelist, comic writer and screenwriter Paul Cornell is invited into my tea lair and I reveal my favourite answer to last week’s dilemma.

There’s a question at the end, feel free to leave your answer below but I’m afraid the winner has already been picked. You can find out who it was in episode 4.

Perhaps recommend a reputable dry cleaning service in the area.

  2. Spindles says:

In the unlikely event of an encounter with the slimy jump-suited man, I would recommend a judicious application of 80’s pop music as this has been noted to trigger a conditioned response which will render him utterly harmless as he proceeds to perform a wonderfully choreographed dance routine. This should enable you to preserve this truly unique cultural phenomena for future generations by recording it on a handy mobile device and submitting it to youtube.

  3. I used to live in that distant land of New York City.

The jump suit fashion of the man in question should go without comment, the diversity in fashion choices in NYC is wide, indeed.

If he should be covered in, ah, slime, again, then clearly he is suffering some recurrent distress. Remembering Douglas Adams’ admonition to always have a towel, and to offer lending it to the gentleman, is the polite thing to do.

In a hotel, after all, a replacement can always be found.

Passing personal comments would be a big no. Talk about the weather to convey your nationality and put all at ease. Maybe ensure you are carrying a flask of tea to refresh all involved?

  5. David says:

Fret not, as ectoplasm is known for it’s restorative properties, it’s probably just a facemask to cleanse the pores. However, it might be advisable to avoid the twelfth floor, someone saw a cockroach up there.
